Voting Results of the PTO By-Laws Amendments

We recently conducted a vote for the proposed amendments to our PTO By-Laws. Thank you to those who participated in that vote. The results are in - all three amendments passed. You can see the amendments and poll results below.

NOTE: Per our By-Laws, 19 votes constitutes a quorum.

ARTICLE V
SECTION 6.
Officers shall serve for a term of one year or until their successors are elected. No officer shall be eligible to the same office for more than two consecutive terms unless there is a named successor. In the case of a named successor, a person is allowed to serve three consecutive terms in the same office with the purpose of training the successor throughout the course of the third and final term. No officer may hold more than one elected office. Officers shall assume their duties on the last day of school, with the exception of Treasurer who will have restrictive duties until the financial records have been closed out. A person who has served in an office for more than six months of a full term shall be deemed to have served a full term in such office.

**This change was proposed to maintain continuity of knowledge and finance management in our current Treasurer position. There is already a succession plan in place for next year.**

**The current financial institution we use does not provide checks with two signature lines. So this vote is to approve checks with one signature. However all fund requests are approved by Principal Yates and the Board as a whole.**
